Video above: Neighbors team up for incredible Christmas light display in KentuckyWhile traveling for the holidays may not be possible this year, that doesn’t mean you can’t still marvel at Christmas displays from around the world for post-pandemic travel inspiration. To make it easy to virtually visit cities with some of the prettiest holiday decor, there’s a browser extension called Tab with A view: Christmas Edition that hosts them all in one place. The extension is available to download for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge users. Every time you open a new tab, you’ll be met with a stunning photo or video featuring a city dressed up for the holiday season. The photos and videos are user submissions, meaning you can even submit ones you’ve taken to help virtually transport people to these idyllic spots. Each day, you’ll be served up to 20 locations — from a festive market in Denmark to a shining holiday street in Japan. Better yet, you can turn the sound on for videos to really feel like you’re there.Through the extension, you can save your favorite spots to a personal “travel list.” In drone view, you can get a look at the cities through satellite imagery pulled from Google Earth. Plus, there’s information on how much a flight from your current location to the viewed destination costs in real time, COVID-19 travel information and even visa requirements.Basically, you can fulfill your wanderlust this Christmas by opening a bunch of tabs with this extension. You can download it here to start exploring Vancouver’s Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, the string light-covered streets of Paris, and more.
