FIRST DOSE OF THE COVID-19 VACCINE TOGETHER. WMUR’S MONICA HERNANDEZ HAS THEIR STORY. MONICA: EDWARD WILSON AND WILLIAM WENTWORTH HAVE BEEN THROUGH A LOT OF LIFE’S TURNING POINTS TOGETHER. EDWARD: I MARRIED HIS SISTER. WILLIAM: OUR FAMILIES WENT TO THE SAME CHURCH, AND THAT’S HOW WE ALL MET. MONICA: THEY’VE BEEN FRIENDS SINCE 1949. BOTH SERVED THEIR COUNTRY. NOW IN THEIR 80’S, THEY’RE STAYING CONNECTED EVEN THROUGH THE PANDEMIC. WILLIAM: I STILL WORK AT THE LIBRARY, AND IT’S BEEN DIFFICULT , BECAUSE I HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO DO THAT. I LIKE TO KEEP ACTIVE, AND YOU CAN’T IN A SITUATION LIKE THIS. EDWARD: JUST BEING ABLE TO MOVE ABOUT I THINK WILL BE THE BLESSING THAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR. MONICA: THAT’S WHY THEY’RE SO EXCITED TO GET THE COVID-19 VACCINE TOGETHER, THROUGH THE MANCHESTER V.A. >> YOU READY FOR THIS? >> YES, I’M READY. >> ALL RIGHT HERE’S YOUR POKE. , MONICA: THEY ARE NOW AMONG THE 200 VETERANS THE MANCHESTER V.A. Two veterans from New Hampshire who have been friends for more than 70 years received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine together.Edward Wilson and William Wentworth have been through a lot of life’s turning points together. They’ve been friends since 1949.”Our families went to the same church and that’s how we met,” Wentworth explained. Now in their 80s, they’re staying connected even through the pandemic.Watch the video above to learn more about this story.

Two veterans from New Hampshire who have been friends for more than 70 years received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine together.

Edward Wilson and William Wentworth have been through a lot of life’s turning points together.

They’ve been friends since 1949.

“Our families went to the same church and that’s how we met,” Wentworth explained.

Now in their 80s, they’re staying connected even through the pandemic.
