“Saved by the Bell” actor Dustin Diamond has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer after a weekend spent in the hospital, his manager said Thursday, NBC News reports. The 44-year-old actor was taken to a Florida hospital days ago after feeling ill. Diamond is awaiting test results to learn more about the cancer’s nature and location. Diamond is most known for his role as Samuel “Screech” Powers on “Saved by the Bell.” He played the role of the kind-hearted and geeky best friend to the show’s main character, Zack Morris played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar.
