FIGURED OUT A ROUTINE WORKING FROM HOME, ESPECIALLY WHEN FIGURING OUT WHAT TO WEAR. YOUR CHOICE TO DRESS UP OR STAY COMFORTABLE COULD AFFECT YOUR MOOD IN DIFFERENT WAYS. WE HAVE A LOCAL METAL HEALTH COUNSELOR, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR JOINING US THIS MORNING. JUST A QUICK EXPLANATION, HOW DO OUR CLOSE AFFECT OUR MOOD? >> ARE MENTAL HEALTH CAN AFFECT OUR WARDROBE AND VICE VERSA. THIS IS TRUE FOR THOSE WHO CONNECT THEIR SELF-ESTEEM AND SELF-EXPRESSION TO WHAT THEY CHOOSE TO WEAR FOR WORK. THAT SELECTION CAN BOOST THEIR CONFIDENCE. ON TOP OF THAT, SHIFTING OUT OF YOUR COMFORTABLE HOME CLOSE INTO YOUR WORKLOADS CAN HELP YOU MAKE THAT MENTAL SHIFT THAT IS IMPORTANT FOR BOUNDARY SETTING AND MENTAL WELLNESS AS WELL. SHELDON: SOME PEOPLE, WE’VE GOTTEN USED TO THOSE VIDEO CONFERENCE CALLS AT THIS POINT. THEY MAY HAVE SOMETHING THAT THEY JUST WEAR FROM THE TOP UP. SHOULD WE GET ALL THE WAY DRESSED AND PUT ON PANTS AND SOCKS AND SHOES INSTEAD OF JUST UP TOP? >> I WOULD SAY ALL THE WAY DRESSED WITH THE SLIPPERS I HAVE ON NOW. IT DEPENDS ON THE PERSON. FOR SOME PEOPLE, IT MAY HAVE AN UNDERLYING MEANING FOR THEM. IF YOU’RE GOING INTO AN INTERVIEW THAT DAY AND YOU KNOW THAT BLAZER WILL GIVE YOU A BOOST OF CONFIDENCE, THAT CAN MAKE A BIG DEAL. A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE DEALING WITH PANDEMIC FATIGUE. IF YOU ARE FEELING LIKE WEARING SOMETHING MORE COMFORTABLE THAT DAY, THAT CAN BE HELPFUL. THESE BOUNDARIES ARE IMPORTANT. A FEW YEARS AGO, THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION RECOGNIZE THAT BURNOUT WAS A SERIOUS ISSUE AND BOUNDARIES WITH WHAT YOU ARE WEARING CAN HELP YOU MAKE A MENTAL SHIFT THAT CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE IN YOUR PRODUCTIVITY. SHELDON: IT IS SO IMPORTANT TO KEEP THOSE ROUTINES AS WE APPROACH ONE YEAR OF THE PANDEMIC AND PEOPLE ARE WORKING FROM HOME. ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO SWITCH UP THE WORK FROM HOME ATTIRE? >> IT’S IMPORTANT TO RECOGNIZE IT DIFFERENCE FOR PERSONALITY. — DIFFERS FOR PERSONALITY. HOW DOES WHAT YOU CHOOSE TO WEAR AFFECT YOUR WELL-BEING? YOU MIGHT THINK YOU FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE AND AT EASE IF YOU ARE THE SAME CLOTHES YOU WOKE UP IN. IT MAY BE CAUSING THAT BLURRED BOUNDARY THAT CAN MAKE YOU FEEL MORE DISTRACTED WHEN YOU NEED TO BE ALERT. IT DEPENDS ON THE PERSON THAT WAY. IF YOU HAD TO TRANSITION TO WORK FROM HOME, IS THERE SOMETHING YOU MISS WEARING? IS IT A PAIR OF EARRINGS? MAYBE YOU COULD PUT THAT IN YOUR NEW WORK FROM HOME ATTIRE. IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE ONE OR THE OTHER. I TEND TO BE A FAN OF FEELING COMFORTABLE AND PROFESSIONAL AND LIKE YOURSELF SO YOU CAN FEEL PRODUCTIVE. SHELDON: HAIRCUTS WOULD ALSO FALL IN LINE WITH LOOKING YOUR BEST? >> ABSOLUTE. FOR SOME PEOPLE, THAT MEANS MAKEUP. IT DEPENDS ON WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL THE BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF THAT DAY. SHELDON: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THESE TIPS AND THANK YOU FOR JOINING US THIS M
