
Police have released additional findings on a crash that killed two people on Interstate 89 over the weekend. Troopers with Vermont State Police said they responded to the crash site in South Burlington just after 6 a.m Saturday. The sedan carrying both passengers had veered into a median, flipped and struck a tree, according to a police report. Both 45-year-old Michelle Martin, of Colchester, and 32-year-old Theodore Bowen, of Essex Junction, were killed in the crash. Investigators with Vermont State Police Traffic Safety announced Monday that speed and passengers not wearing seatbelts were factors in the crash.
