The Red Flag Warning has been allowe to expire as gusty winds decrease across the forecast area and relative humidity increases. Still expecting to see some clouds across northeastern Vermont through the overnight hours attributed to a stagnant vertically- stacked low positioned to the east. In addition, there remains a slight chance that a bit of rain/snow mix could fal out of these clouds late tonight across far northeastern Vermont, though it will not be much. Overall, the going forecast remains in good shape with no significant change needed at this time. Winds will continue to gust out of the northwest up to about 35 mph and relative humidities will be in the 20 percent range. The Champlain Valley, northern New York, and southern Vermont should remain sunny. Expect a breezy northwest wind with highs in the 50s. Then, another warmup! Highs are back in the mid 60s by the middle of the week with partly sunny skies.No major storms are expected, and the next chance for rain showers doesn’t arrive until next Sunday and Monday.Unfortunately, that means the drought concern will be sticking around for a while.
