Demonstrators hope their fight continues the conversation around missing man, Ralph Jean-Marie
It’s been over a year since 38-year-old Barre city resident, Ralph Jean-Marie went missing. Now, activists are asking that more be done to find him. A demonstration over the weekend was held asking for justice for Ralph Jean-Marie. Activists plan to hold demonstrations until he is found, hoping his face, does not go forgotten. Saying, “Justice for Ralph, is justice for humanity.” In April 2020, Jean-Marie went missing from the Hollow-Inn Motel in Barre City. He has not been seen since. Earlier this week, Barre City police announced they are bringing the investigation back to their forefront and are hoping someone with information will come forward. But people, including members of the Black perspective, are saying at this point that’s just not enough. “So we have people that have gotten away with murder, and the chief is expecting for someone to come in and admit that they murdered Ralph?” questioned Lee Morrigan, social justice activist.
