Now. NBC 5 1st Warning Weather with Chief Meteorologist Tom Messner. Polly is really taking off on social media. I just check their facebook page and a lot of people are wondering when they can adopt her babies. Okay. Tom you’ve been doing this 30 years. Have you ever followed a rat before? I can tell you that we used to have rats in the house. I mean pet rats, um my daughter had a couple of rats and they actually really are nice pets, you know, and I know a lot of people you hear rat, it’s like no can do. But yeah, they make good pets. So I would recommend brian you get a few of those and uh they can hang out with your dog. It will be a good time. Did we have some of the old building? That was a rat problem. Yes, we did have a problem. Yeah, that, that was not planned anyway. Hey, we had some steady rain out there a little bit earlier. The steadiest stuff is gone and we’ve got lighter stuff around kind of coming and going but it is raining not quite as heavily as it was earlier and we’re not done. So it’s going to come and go overnight tonight. We’ve got a big chunk right here tomorrow. It’s just gonna be a wet day and it looks like the wind is going to pick up at least to a certain extent by the afternoon. How much more rain we’re talking about. We’ll figure some rain during the day tomorrow and a little bit tomorrow night along with snow, especially up in the mountains. So some of us may be looking at another inch or so so figure generally speaking anywhere from another half inch to an inch of rain. So it is going to be rainy and breezy by tomorrow afternoon. That’s when the wind is gonna pick up. It’s gonna dry, be dry for parts of the upcoming weekend and it is going to be milder I think by the time we do get into next week. So here’s what we are for temperatures. Temps have not moved very much since say are six o’clock news and certainly the 10 o’clock news last hour we’re in the fifties were shooting for a low of just 50 degrees. So you know as it gets cooler we’re talking two degrees, maybe three degrees and here’s what we’re looking at for highs tomorrow, mid fifties it’s gonna rain and it becomes a little bit breezy by the afternoon. All right. This is overnight as we take a look at future cast look at the rain that is around during the day. Tomorrow it’s not a super heavy rain throughout the day but looks like it’s a soaking rain and then tomorrow night as the colder air starts to come in. Look what happens here, it flips over to snow up in the mountains. Maybe even a snow shower or two saturday morning before we see a partly sunny sky, Maybe a rain or snow shower that night. And on Sunday kind of like Saturday, maybe a rain shower. This is early 6:00 PM and that gives way to at least some sunshine by the afternoon. So the weekends, not bad periods of rain tonight, fog for many of us lows upper forties to around 50 degrees and the deal for tomorrow. Well, we’ve got a rainy day on tap. It’s going to be breezy. Best chances for fog. I think during the morning tomorrow high temperatures only in the mid fifties, right in the champlain valley, just a little bit warmer on down to the south, 55 will do you to 54 on saturday. A couple of showers, maybe snow showers, two in the morning. Then some sun 54 to 59 on sunday. Again a rain shower or two in the morning. Then some afternoon clearing. But that’s not the case. Monday Tuesday even into Wednesday got a lot of clouds around. It looks like the heaviest rain is going to be on monday into the beginning of Tuesday and then next thursday into the weekend while we’ll see a lot of clouds, temperatures are looking okay. Mhm. Yeah. Yeah.
