CURRENTLY, PRECIPITATION HAS ALREADY CHANGED TO SNO ACROSS MUCH OF THE SAINT LAWRENCE VALLEY AND PORTIONS OF THE ADIRONDACKS. THE FORECAST HAS BEEN UPDATED TO ACCOUNT FOR THESE COLDER TEMPERATURES AS WELL AS THE ONGOING SNOW SHOWERS. WE ARE STILL EXPECTING PRECIPITATION TO CHANGE TO SNOW ACROSS THE ENTIRE FORECAST AREA THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS, THOUGH BECOMING CONFINED TO THE HIGHER TERRAIN AS THE PRECIPITATION WANES. A SLIGHT INCREASE HAS BEEN MADE TO THE FORECAST SNOW TOTALS WITH 1 TO 3 INCHES EXPECTED ABOVE 1000FT ACROSS NORTHERN NEW YORK, WHILE 1 TO 3 INCHES ABOVE 2000FT ACROSS VERMONT. LASTLY, FORECAST WIN GUSTS HAVE BEEN DECREASED, THOUGH EXPECTED TO REMAIN IN THE 20 TO 25 MPH RANGE THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.
