“When you think about a network of electricity feeders, they’re all interconnected through the various networks of substations. So, that is the root cause of a lot of the disruption that customers experienced this afternoon, resulting in equipment failure at our Coffeen Street substation,” said Virginia Limmiatis, National Grid spokesperson.
