VERMONT.N BU IRLINGTON, KRYSTIN RAE, NBC 5 NEWS. <NOW FIRST WARNING WEATH ER WITH TYLER JANKSOKI > Active weather is expect across the North Couny tr Monday afternoon a nd evening as the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms are possible. Storms a re expected to form over northern New York in the afternoon and then move east into Vermont during the late teafrnoon and evening hours. Gusty winds, hail, heavy rain, and freque nt lightning will be the main threats with any of the thunderstorms. Above normal tpeemratures are expected on Monday with highs in the m id 80s to lower 90s. Cooler and drr ie weather is expected by the middle part of the week.Active weather is expected across the North Country Monday afternoon and evening as the potenti al for strong to severe thunderstorms are possible. Storms have moved out and we’re looking at a much quieter Tuesday with much cooler temperatures. You’ll head out the door to very mild and muggy conditions. Temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s early but will be falling throughout the morning. Humidity will also be dropping gradually. By the afternoon the air will be much more refreshing but it will only be in the upper 60s. Clouds linger and even a few spot showers are possible but by sunset clouds should start to clear from west to east.The clearing leads us into a much drier, more comfortable and pleasant Wednesday. Temperatures start in the 40s and 50s but will climb back into the mid 70s with lots of sunshine and low humidity. Thursday will be sunny again with highs in the low 80s in the Champlain Valley. Friday looks warm and sunny again.The weekend is still a little up in the air. So far it looks like Saturday is trending drier and still warm.
