UPDATE: no injuries, no arrests in Ogdensburg shooting

OGDENSBURG, New York (WWNY) – Police seized a shotgun Tuesday night after a report of several shots fired in an Ogdensburg home.

Ogdensburg acting chief Mark Kearns said an adult male at 216 Caroline Street fired the gun inside the home just before 7 p.m.

Kearns said the call indicated there were intruders in the home.

Police say they recovered a 20-gauge shotgun that was inside the home and there was evidence that several shots were fired.

They say there is no evidence that any person was actually shot at or that anyone broke into the home.

No arrest was made and the incident is no longer being investigated as a criminal matter.
