Governor has said he tested negative for COVID-19 three times
Gov. Chris Sununu has been admitted to Portsmouth Hospital as he continues to be sick with flu-like symptoms, the governor’s staff said Friday.Sununu announced earlier this week that he had flu-like symptoms. He said he has tested negative three times for COVID-19, but his chief of staff, Jayne Millerick, said Friday that the cause of his symptoms is unknown.Earlier Friday, Millerick said Sununu was being evaluated at the hospital but had not been admitted. Later Friday afternoon, the decision was made to admit him.”Governor Sununu has been admitted to Portsmouth Hospital this afternoon for additional testing,” Millerick said. “He is in good spirits and confident in his care. More information will be shared as it becomes available.”Sununu was tested for COVID-19 Wednesday, two days after returning from a trip to Kentucky, where said he learned how that state was handling a surge in the virus.
