When a woman recently woke from anesthesia, Fiona the hippo was on her mind, because the hippo is the queen of the Queen City, obviously.Janet Swope was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a procedure that put her under anesthesia. When she woke up, all she could think about was the hippos at the Cincinnati Zoo — especially Fiona.Swope started rambling about Tucker, the Cincinnati Zoo’s newest hippo who joined Bibi and Fiona in the zoo’s Hippo Cove. Tucker, an 18-year-old Nile hippopotamus, arrived in Cincinnati in September from the San Francisco Zoo.Then, Swope started talking about how big Fiona’s mouth is, demonstrating with her own mouth just how big the portly hippo could open wide.At one point, Swope was offered a cracker.
