Barn destroyed in Antwerp fire

ANTWERP, New York (WWNY) – A barn is a total loss following a fire in Antwerp Thursday morning.

Antwerp, Oxbow, and Philadelphia fire departments were called to 10 Depot Street shortly before 9:30 a.m. to find a barn on fire behind the residence.

The owner was home at the time. The home was not damaged by fire, but suffered minor flooding because of melting snow and water from fire hoses.

No one was injured. The barn was being used for storage and no animals were inside.

State police are investigating the cause of the fire.
