WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – Low visibility led to several cars off the road on I-81 Saturday afternoon.
According to New York State Police, the highway was closed at Exit 45 southbound.
Four people were sent to Samaritan Medical Center with minor injuries.
Police say a trooper’s vehicle was struck while she was outside of her vehicle, but she was not hurt. The Jeep that struck the patrol car continued to strike another vehicle.
State Police closed the highway due to low visibility. It was reopened about an hour later after all cars involved had been towed.
