(WWNY) – With heavy, wet snow falling — and greatest accumulations expected on the Tug Hill — nearly 3,000 customers were without power in Lewis County as of around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
That’s up substantially from the more-than 1,000 without power a couple hours earlier.
There also more than 300 without power in St. Lawrence County.
According to the National Grid website, the Lewis County outages were concentrated mainly in Croghan, Greig, Lewis, Leyden, Lyonsdale, Port Leyden, Turin, Watson, and West Turin.
All power is expected to be restored by 4 p.m.
In St. Lawrence County, the outages are mostly in the towns of Hermon, Piercefield, and Russell. All power there is expected to be back up by 12:45 p.m.
