Hannaford adds additional items to recall list of ground beef products sold in Bennington

Supermarket chain Hannaford has expanded the list of ground beef items being recalled for products sold at its Bennington store, saying they might have been contaminated. All of the lean ground beef products were sold at the 141 Hannaford Square location on Tuesday between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. Affected products had a “sell by” date of June 8, according to the company. Officials with Hannaford did not specify what the foreign material was in their release.No injuries or illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall. Anyone who purchased affected products is being asked to return them to the Bennington store for a full refund.The possible contamination was contained to a single location, according to officials.
