Search crews have located a body they believe belongs to a New York man who went missing in Hyde Park on Tuesday.The Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department said that crews have recovered a body they believe to be that of Joshua Hwang during a search of the Green River Reservoir.Hwang, a 22-year-old from New Windsor, NY, was reported missing on Tuesday night. He was last seen at a camping site on the west side of the reservoir around 3 p.m. that day. Officials had closed the Green River Reservoir State Park and camp sites Thursday morning as they scoured the area for Hwang. “It’s so sad it’s shocking, heartbreaking, this is such a special place, a magical place and it feels very safe. I’m just surprised and shocked that something like that could happen here,” said Emma Back, an avid camper in the area. The body will be brought to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington to determine a cause of death and to confirm identity. Facilities and public access to the reservoir are scheduled to reopen with the conclusion of search operations. Hwang, a 22-year-old from New Windsor, NY, was reported missing on Tuesday night. He was last seen at a camping site on the west side of the reservoir around 3 p.m. that day.
