Police in Massachusetts are sharing video of a man who is suspected of stealing two boxes of prescription formula.Alyssa Augusto told sister station WCVB that she has the rare metabolic disorder phenylketonuria (PKU), which severely limits how much protein she can eat.”Meat, fish, poultry, dairy — almost everything has protein. So I’m on a very strict diet,” Augusto said.PKU medical food makes up the bulk of Augusto’s daily nutrition and early Sunday morning, her home surveillance camera caught a man swiping a month’s supply of formula off her front porch.”I was just shocked. I literally could not believe it,” Augusto said. “I even told my husband. He was like: ‘What?!'”Augusto said the food is extremely important to her, especially since she is breastfeeding her 6-week-old daughter.”If I don’t have this, my brain suffers,” she explained. “My brain wouldn’t be able to function properly. I wouldn’t be able to take care of my daughter.”It’s more than just a box he stole off my porch. It’s my life.”The home surveillance video, which was shared by police, shows the suspect placing what appears to be a decoy package on the porch before running off with the actual delivery.Augusto told Saladna that the man did leave an empty Amazon box behind on her porch.”There is an Amazon warehouse kind of close around here, so it’s not super uncommon to get early deliveries. So I think that was what he was doing. He was pretending that he was an Amazon delivery person,” Augusto said. Augusto said the empty Amazon box the man left on her porch had an address label on it. She then contacted the man whose name was on the address label, who lives about a mile away from her.
