TOWN OF ORLEANS, New York (WWNY) – Volunteers from several fire departments battled a blaze in the town of Orleans Thursday afternoon.
They were called to 23018 Honey Flats Road at around 2:30 p.m.
Pictures from the scene show thick smoke pouring from a home.
According to LaFargeville Fire Chief Wade Ingalls, no one was living in the house and the owner lives nearby.
The home did have electricity.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
Wade said the house is being knocked down so firefighters can put out hot spots.
