ONE OF A KIND BALLOONS. GREAT FOOD AND PEOPLE. WELL, WE. WE FLEW IN FROM CALIFORNIA ON TUESDAY AND DECIDED TO COME EARLY AND GET SOME SIGHTSEEING IN. AND THEN WE CAME EARLY THIS MORNING, LIKE 3:00 TO BE HERE. AND IT’S JUST SO AMAZING. I’VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT. PASS SAYS SHE’S EAGER TO CATCH BREATHTAKING VIEWS. TOMORROW, WE’RE GOING TO RIDE IN A BALLOON. SO THAT’S EXCITING. WE’VE NEVER DONE THAT BEFORE, BUT THAT’S NOT ALL. LOVE WAS ALSO IN THE AIR. WE’VE BEEN DATING ABOUT FIVE YEARS AND THEN WE’VE BEEN ENGAGED FOR ABOUT TWO. AND WE HAVEN’T GOTTEN MARRIED AT THAT POINT BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC. SO WE’VE BEEN THINKING, YOU KNOW, BALLOON FIESTA, LET’S JUST GO AHEAD AND DO IT. RACHEL BETHEL AND HER LOVE, EVEN RODRIGUEZ, BOTH FROM TEXAS, DECIDE TO TIE THE KNOT. HER SISTER IS GOING TO MARRY US. ‘Let’s just go ahead and do it’: Couple ties the knot at Balloon Fiesta

The 50th Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta kicked off Saturday. Thousands of people flocked to Balloon Fiesta park to catch breathtaking views of balloons, enjoy great food and have fun. Love was also in the air for lovebirds Ethan Rodriguez and Rachael Bechtel. The couple, originally from Texas, said it was the perfect time to tie the knot. “We’ve been dating about five years and then we’ve been engaged for about two,” Rodriguez said. “We hadn’t gotten married at that point, because of the pandemic. So, we’ve been thinking, it’s Balloon Fiesta, so let’s just go ahead and do it.””Her sister is going to marry us, and she’s going to officiate it,” Rodriguez said. “So, it’s going to be kind of short, sweet and simple in terms of length. Most of them actually just all moved out here too, so they didn’t really have to travel for this. So it’s really nice to have them just right here to celebrate with us,” Bechtel said. The newlyweds shared their big day with a massive crowd, and are now looking forward to a golden anniversary of their own.
