Staying Cooler Than Average Through Thursday
WITH METEOROLOGIST MATT DILORETO> A slow moving upper low and occulded front will shift eastward from the Great Lakes region, bringing clouds and periods of rain showers for Monday, especially during the afternoon and evening hours. A secondary low developing along the front will bring the potential for additional rainfall on Tuesday, mainly across Vermont. Total rainfall amounts of a quarter to half inch are expected, with the highest amounts across central and eastern portions of Vermont. Seasonable temperatures are expected for much of the work week, followed by above average temperatures for next weekend. We’ll have increasing clouds overnight as temperatures bottom out in the mid 30s- low 40s. It turns much cooler most of this workweek as an unsettled weather pattern takes over. Highs will be in the 50s Monday with widespread showers. Showers linger into the first half of Tuesday, especially in Eastern VT and New Hampshire.It briefly dries out late Tuesday and Wednesday, but another round of showers is possible overnight into Thursday.
