Motorcyclist seriously hurt in town of Alexandria crash

TOWN OF ALEXANDRIA, New York (WWNY) – State police said a man was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a truck.

It happened at the intersection of State Route 26 and Barnes Settlement Road in the town of Alexandria shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Troopers said the motorcyclist was driving south on Route 26. The truck was on Barnes Settlement Road, also known as County Route 2.

Police said the two vehicles collided at the intersection.

The driver of the bike was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.

The crash shut down a portion of State Route 26 between Reynolds Road to County Route 192. It reopened at 5 p.m.
