MORNING. RIGHT NOW AT FOR OUR TEAM IS TRACKING ALL ANGLES OF SUBTROPICAL STORM NICOLE AS IT APPROACHES SOUTH FLORIDA. I’VE BEEN A BUSY DAY FOR THEM. LET’S GET RIGHT TO OUR FIRST WARNING METEOROLOGIST TEAM, STARTING WITH CHRIS MARTINEZ. AND CHRIS, YOU JUST RECEIVED THE LATEST ADVISORY. WHAT DO WE NEED TO KNOW? AND THEN NOTHING’S REALLY CHANGED WITH THE SYSTEM RIGHT NOW. IT’S STILL DISORGANIZED, STILL SUBTROPICAL STORM. NICOLE, YOU COULD SEE IT RIGHT HERE SHOWING A LITTLE SIGN OF TRYING TO CIRCULATE AS IT DOES CONTINUE TO MOVE TOWARDS THE NORTHWEST. LATEST ADVISORY JUST COMING IN AS WE SPEAK. WINDS ARE STILL AT 45 AND YOU CAN SEE STILL MOVING TOWARDS THE NORTHWEST AT NINE MILES PER HOUR. AS WE RUN THE FUTURE TRACK, YOU CAN SEE AS WE GO INTO THE NEXT 24 TO 48 HOURS, THE TRACK DOES TAKE IT TOWARDS THE WEST, SOUTHWEST. NO BIG CHANGES IN THIS NEW TRACK THAT HAS JUST COMING OUT. AND RIGHT NOW, FORECAST INTENSITY FORECASTS STILL KEEP IT AS A STRONG TROPICAL STORM TO POSSIBLY A CAT ONE HURRICANE, RIGHT AS IT APPROACHES THE PALM BEACH MARTIN COUNTY LINE AS WE GO THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY, THEN MOVES INLAND AS WE HEAD THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND THEN EVENTUALLY GETS LIFTED UP TOWARDS THE NORTH. BUT AGAIN, THE LATEST ADVISORY SHOWING WINDS RIGHT NOW AT 45 MILES PER HOUR. IN THE NEAR TERM, IT’S ALL FINE. AND AS WE HAVE AS WE HEAD INTO TOMORROW, AGAIN, EVERYTHING IS ALL FINE AS WELL AS JUST THE BREEZE IS GOING TO INCREASE. LET’S CONTINUE OUR LIVE TEAM COVERAGE AND BRING IN METEOROLOGIST GLENN GLAZER GLENN AND TAKE A DEEPER DIVE INTO WHAT’S GOING ON WITH THIS SYSTEM. WELL, LET’S TAKE ANOTHER LOOK AT IT HERE AS WE TRACK THE TROPICS, A BROAD VIEW. YOU CAN JUST SEE HOW A NORMAL IT IS. IT’S DRAWING UP MOISTURE FROM ALMOST THE CARIBBEAN HERE, CIRCLING AROUND UP BY THE CAROLINAS WITH SOME CLOUDS GETTING PRETTY CLOSE TO THE COAST THERE. AND THEN THE MAIN PART OF THE CIRCULATION DOWN HERE. SO IT’S REALLY LARGE NOW AS IT MAKES THAT TRANSITION FROM SUBTROPICAL TO TROUGH. NICOLE, OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS, IT MIGHT BECOME A LITTLE MORE COMPACT. WE’RE GOING TO TALK ABOUT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SUBTROPICAL AND TROPICAL LATER ON THIS HALF HOUR. IN THE MEANTIME, THE CHANCE FOR TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS WILL REALLY START TO PICK UP AS WE GET INTO THE EARLY MORNING HOURS ON WEDNESDAY. YOU CAN SEE 3 A.M. WEDNESDAY MORNING AND IT IS GREEN AREA HERE. A 10% CHANCE FOR TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS, 39 MILES PER HOUR TO 73 MILES PER HOUR AS WE PROGRESS INTO THURSDAY DAY. WE’RE LOOKING AT THE RED AREA HERE SPREADING OVER INTO OUR VIEWING AREA. THAT’S WHERE WE GET TO THE 70 TO 80% CHANCE FOR TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS. THAT BEING SAID, EVEN BEFORE THAT, HERE WE DO SEE THE CHANCE THAT’S AT LEAST A 40 TO 50% CHANCE ON WEDNESDAY DAY OF TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS MOVING ON IT. SO IT’S GOING TO START TO GET EVEN WINDIER TOMORROW AS NICOLE GETS A LITTLE CLOSER AND REALLY WINDY ON WEDNESDAY ALL THE WAY INTO THURSDAY. WE’RE ALSO GOING TO TALK ABOUT RAINFALL AMOUNTS, THE SIZE OF THE WAVES THAT WE COULD SEE COMING IN. THERE’S A LOT TO DISCUSS WHEN IT COMES TO NICOL
