Total snowfall accumulations will be highly elevation dependent ranging from 5 to 20 inches across the region with the highest amounts in the Adirondacks and portions of the Green Mountains. Travel will be very difficult on Friday, with both morning and evening commutes affected due to heavy snowfall rates. The heavy, wet snow could also result in power outages. Rain could mix in with the snow at times in the valleys. Winter storm winds down by Saturday afternoon into evening with snow showers continuing into Sat evening. Mostly dry and seasonable conditions return on Sunday into early next week with lingering lake effect or mountain snow showers.
