The biggest threat for most locations has been the heavy, wet character of snow resulting in power outages; this will continue to be a threat tonight with potential for more numerous outages as rates increase this evening and overnight. Difficult travel conditions are occurring with slipper roadways. Conditions will slowly improve Saturday with temperatures near normal through the weekend but trending downward next week. Thousands of power outages from heavy, wet snow
A winter storm dumped several inches to more than two feet of snow across Vermont and northern New York, leading to over 27,000 power outages late Friday night.
