
The Burlington Police Department is investigating after two cruisers crashed into each other while responding to a call on Saturday afternoon.The incident happened around 4 p.m.Burlington police said officers were responding to the scene of a domestic violence call.One cruiser was driving on North Street while the other was on North Champlain Street.When they got to the intersection the cruisers collided with each other.One of the cruisers struck a parked, unoccupied car on North Champlain Street after the initial crash.The two officers involved were taken to UVM Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries.The unoccupied, parked vehicle that struck was a rental vehicle belonging to a visiting family. Burlington personnel located the family and took them to the rental agency and assisted with replacing it.An investigation is still underway.Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call the Burlington Police Dept. at 802-658-2704.
