
A Vermont family reunited with their dog after their dog was missing for 25 days.Back in November, Jessica Harden was home in Morristown with her newborn when she heard someone banging on her door in the middle of the night. When she opened the door, she saw flames. Everyone got out safely but their dog, Bailey got scared and took off.”It broke our hearts you know? We had just lost everything. Bailey is like another child to us. We’ve had her since she was a puppy and for her just to be gone. It devastated all of us,” Harden said.The Hardens spent days looking for Bailey but days turned into weeks.They put out flyers and posted on social media — 25 days later Bailey was found near Jessica’s aunt’s home the next town over. “Bailey was kind of the piece we needed to move forward from the fire. Once we got her back it was like a big sigh of relief. We could move forward as a family and find some housing and get back on our feet. Our priority for the past 25 days was to find Bailey and now that we found Bailey, we can move forward with life,” Harden said.The Harden family wants to thank the community for helping them search for Bailey. They are so happy she’s back home just in time for Christmas.
