Middlebury women’s hockey records offensive onslaught against Lake Forest
Panthers got 62 shots on net in a 4-0 win
After having its 31-game winning streak snapped in November, Middlebury dropped three straight games. It was a point that the program hasn’t been at all in recent memory, but Wednesday, the Panthers showed why they still have national championship potential.In front of the home crowd at Chip Kenyon Arena, Middlebury riffled on 62 shots en route to a 4-0 victory over visiting Forest Lake.Foresters goalie Hannah Turnage had an outstanding outing, saving 58 shots on the evening.Four different Middlebury goal scorers, including Eva Hendrickson and Claudia Vira, were able to skate past the Lake Forest defense to grab the Panthers a much-needed win as non-conference play winds down.The Panthers will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Endicott College.
