Firefighters were able to rig equipment to hoist those trapped out of the elevator to the best access point on the fourth floor.Firefighters said after they rescued the first person, she said, “Please get my sister out next, she’s the one in the wedding dress!” Fire crews said all six people were rescued and were part of the Jha wedding party. They said no one needed medical attention. They also wished the couple a happy wedding day! “Mr. and Mrs. Jha, we hope today is the start of a long and happy life together,” the department posted on their Facebook page. The bride and groom made sure to take a photo with their rescuers.
