‘Running for my life’: FedEx driver in Kentucky details story of close call during severe storm

Anthony Antal spends a full workday in and out of his FedEx truck. In one hour, Antal will make an average of about eight stops. During his work day, Antal is pretty much non-stop.Even when a 20-foot-tall pine tree falls around him, Antal sticks to his mantra, “Got to keep delivering.”Friday’s wild storms ripped through the region, sending limbs and branches flying across northern Kentucky and southern Ohio.Near the end of his day, a doorbell camera video captured a tree falling behind Antal, seconds after he delivered packages to a customer’s front porch.“I was running, I looked up, the tree was falling down,” Antal said. “I just started running for my life. I just gathered my thoughts and I called the customer to let them know her package was delivered and also a tree fell on her house.”After that near miss, Antal just kept on moving, taking care of his customers, because stopping isn’t what Antal does. He said he just keeps on delivering.”I just kind of ran it through my mind over and over again, but it didn’t slow me down for the rest of the day. I had about 15 more stops to go,” Antal said.
