Teen driver arrested for allegedly stealing car in Peru, fleeing police
She is being charged with 3 felonies and 2 misdemeanors
A 17-year-old girl from Schuyler Falls was arrested on charges including grand larceny and reckless endangerment on Monday after she allegedly stole a vehicle in Peru and fled from police.The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office said that after stealing a vehicle, the girl failed to stop for Sheriff’s Department deputies. She then fled at a high speed, but deputies did not pursue her.She was later found and arrested. She is being charged with three felonies and two misdemeanors.The teen was arraigned in the Town of Peru Court and released to her legal guardians. She is scheduled to appear in Clinton County Supreme Court at a later date.
