in your space.” FOR CONSUMER WATCH– I’M SHELLY MOLASCHI. <NOW NBC5 FIRST WARNING WEATHER…THE AREA’S CERTIFIED MOST ACCURATE FORECAST> TYLER, THE WEATHER TODAY WAS…. ANCHORS CHAT…. Warm and dry weather will persist through the near term period as mid/high level high pressure remains anchored directly overhead. At the surface, the high will be centered off to our east, just offshore from the Gulf of Maine. Near surface smoke from the fires in Nova Scotia can be seen lifting around the western edge of the high; note that there have been some visibility restrictions on Cape Cod due to the smoke, and NWS Norton/Boston office noted that it could be smelled at their location. With the surface high to our east, we will remain under light south flow, which will continue to push the smoke northward into our region overnight. It should become trapped under the surface inversion, so expect the low- level smoke will remain mostly confined to the Champlain/ Connecticut Valleys. It should be most concentrated around daybreak Wednesday, then start to lift/dissipate as we see daytime mixing. Other than the smoke, no real impactful weather is expected. Skies will remain clear overnight tonight, but given the aforementioned light south flow, we wonút be as cool as we were last night. Lows will mainly be in the upper 40s to mid 50s. Tomorrow will be a near carbon copy today under bright sunshine, light winds, and warm temperatures. 925mb temps will be 3-5 degrees warmer than today, so expect we should top out in the mid to upper 80s, with some spot 90F readings possible. Luckily, like today, dewpoints will be relatively comfortable, in the mid 40s to low 50s, keeping humidity low. Tomorrow night will be a little warmer than tonight with most spots in the 50s to around 60.
