HEY, TYLER. YEAH. GOOD EVENING, ALICE. THINGS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE HERE ON CHURCH STREET NOW. PROBABLY IS. WE’RE STUDYING THE RADAR AND. AND IN THE NEXT HOUR, IT’S POSSIBLE THAT WE GET A LITTLE BIT WET HERE. SO IF YOU ARE COMING DOWN TO CHURCH STREET, AT LEAST PREPARE FOR A SHOWER OR A LIGHT TO MODERATE SHOWER. I KNOW. IT’S BEAUTIFUL RIGHT NOW, BUT WE’RE KIND OF IN THIS PATTERN WHERE YOU GET SUN AND THEN IT WELL SELF-DESTRUCTS AND THE SHOWERS FORM AND COME THROUGH. SO WE’RE WATCHING THAT CAREFULLY. BUT WE’VE GOT A LOT OF PERFORMANCES HERE ON CHURCH STREET TONIGHT. STARTED AT FIVE. SO A LITTLE WHILE AGO. AND IT’S A COUPLE OF PERFORMANCES. WE’RE JOINED NOW BY ONE OF THE PERFORMERS COMING UP, GEORGIA AND MULDROW, GEORGIA. WELCOME BACK TO BURLINGTON. I KNOW YOU’VE BEEN HERE BEFORE. TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT WHY YOU’RE BACK. I KNOW WE WERE TALKING ABOUT LAKISHA EARLIER. SHE’S THE THE CURATOR THIS YEAR. BUT YOU’VE BEEN HERE BEFORE. YES, I HAVE. YEAH, I WAS HERE. I FORGET WHAT YEAR, BUT I REMEMBER HAVING AN AWESOME TIME. AND YOU SAID WHEN YOU FIRST CAME, IT WAS INSIDE. YES. BECAUSE IT WAS RAINING VERY HARD. PRESSURE’S ON. I THINK WE’RE ABOVE. YEAH. YEAH, FOR NOW WE DO. SO YOU’RE ON STAGE AT 545 OR SO. IF PEOPLE WANT TO COME ON OUT AND LISTEN TO YOUR PERFORMANCE, WHAT CAN THEY EXPECT? WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO BRING TO THE STAGE? ABSOLUTELY. AN INSPIRED FIRED, JOYFUL NOISE POETRY, MODULAR SYNTHESIS AND A AND HOPEFULLY THEY I HOPE THEY CAN EXPECT TO SING WITH ME. SO CAN YOU TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR ORCHESTRAL TAMBOURINE? THAT’S WHAT IT’S CALLED, RIGHT? YEAH. CURRENTLY GOT IT ON LEND. CAN YOU PLAY IT. I LOVE THAT. WILL THAT BE ON STAGE WITH YOU? YEAH. OKAY. WELL, GEORGIA AND MULDROW, WELCOME BACK TO BURLINGTON. OH, THANKS FOR HAVING ME. I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO THE PERFORMANCE. WE’LL TRY TO HOLD THE SHOWERS. ABSOLUTELY. I THINK GOD IS GOOD ENOUGH TO DO THAT. YES. ALL RIGHT. HAVE FUN LATER. WE’RE GOING TO CHECK ON THE WEATHER RIGHT NOW. WE’LL ACTUALLY START OUT WITH STORM TRACKER BECAUSE THAT SHOWS WHERE THE LITTLE SHOWERS ARE. YOU SEE THERE’S A LOT OF THEM ON THE MAP, MOSTLY OVER THE ADIRONDACKS, BUT ALSO IN NORTHERN VERMONT FOR A LONG TIME IN THE IMMEDIATE CHAMPLAIN VALLEY, RIGHT OVER THE WATER HAS BEEN DRY. WE’LL ZOOM IN. YOU SEE THAT? THAT’S PARTLY DUE TO THE COOL WATER, BUT UNFORTUNATELY, EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, A COUPLE OF THESE DRIFT OVERHEAD. AND THAT COULD HAPPEN HERE IN THE NEXT HOUR OR SO. SOUTHERN VERMONT HAS A COUPLE OF SHOWERS, TOO, BUT IT IS GOOD TO SEE THE SUN MIXING IN EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE. AND THAT’S CERTAINLY A SIGN OF THINGS TO COME AS WE GO INTO BOTH TOMORROW AND SATURDAY. THIS MESSY PATTERN SLOWLY LOOSENS ITS GRIP ON THE REGION. TEMPS RIGHT NOW 50S AND LOW, 60S, BUT AS YOU CAN SEE, A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE TAKEN THEIR LIGHT JACKETS OFF FOR THE TIME BEING AT LEAST. HERE’S A LOOK AT FUTURECAST. WE’VE GOT CLOUDS OVERNIGHT. PRETTY MUCH OVERCAST, UNLESS YOU GET LUCKY WITH THESE BREAKS OF SUN, A COUPLE OF SHOWERS COMING THROUGH AND THE DEAL WITH TOMORROW IS WE’VE STILL GOT SHOWERS IN THE PLAN. BUT AS WE GO THROUGH THE AFTERNOON, MORE BREAKS OF SUN. AND THEN SATURDAY REALLY HAS A NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE BY AFTERNOON. SO THE SECOND HALF OF SATURDAY TRENDS A LOT BRIGHTER. IT’S ALSO A LOT DRIER, REALLY ONLY A HANDFUL OF SHOWERS AROUND BY SATURDAY. AND THEN WE’RE THINKING SUNDAY’S DRY. SO HOW ABOUT THAT AS WE MOVE ALONG HERE? THIS IS THE FORECAST FOR TONIGHT. COUPLE OF SHOWERS. IT’S CHILLY AGAIN. GOT 40S. AND FOR TOMORROW, A WARM UP MID TO UPPER 60S, ACTUALLY, AGAIN, STILL A LOT OF CLOUDS AND A FEW SHOWERS. BUT AS YOU SEE HERE ON THE FIVE DAY FORECAST EAST, IT’S REALLY A GRADUAL REDUCTION IN THE SHOWER COVERAGE. SO WE’VE ACTUALLY TAKEN THE THE RAINDROPS OUT OF THE SATURDAY ICON 71 ON SATURDAY. WE’VE GOT THREE SHOWS RIGHT AT THE WATERFRONT. SHOULD BE A BEAUTIFUL SETTING AT THE WATERFRONT FOR THE NEXT TWO NIGHTS. AND THEN SUNDAY, WE’RE RIGHT UP NEAR 80. IT FEELS LIKE SUMMER AGAIN. FINALLY ON SUNDAY HERE AT JAZZ FEST, IT’S THE MAIN STREET BLOCK PARTY THAT KICKS OFF AT 5:00 ON SUNDAY. AND THEN EARLY NEXT WEEK, THERE’S ACTUALLY A TOUCH OF HUMIDITY IN PLAY. TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM ABOUT 70 TO 80, EARLY NEXT WEEK. AND BECAUSE OF THAT, THUNDER IS POSSIBLE FOR BOTH MONDAY AND TUESDAY. BUT OUT HERE LIVE ON CHURCH STREET, IT IS A VERY NICE LOOKING TREND AS WE GO INTO THE WEEKEND. AGAIN, MIGHT GET A LITTLE WET HERE THIS NIGHT. PLAN FOR THAT IF YOU’RE COMING ON DOWN. BUT REMEMBER, THE FORECAST IS TRENDING BETTER FOR THE WEEKEND. FOR NOW, WE’LL SEND IT ON INSIDE TO OUR SOUTH BURLI
