Cancer warrior celebrates 100th treatment
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

It was *** day of celebration. Larry Coy completed his 100 th four hour treatment at the Maryland Oncology Center in Brandy Wine. Sometimes this gets on my mind so hard and so heavy, it’s been 10 years now and it never goes away. He was diagnosed with leukemia and non hodgkin’s lymphoma and says each treatment gives him four more weeks of life for the last 10 years and it keeps me alive. You know, I know that what they’re doing for me is going to keep me alive for the next four weeks. And so I’m not complaining his family and friends surprising him on this 100 th treatment. He says it’s *** big milestone because others don’t make it to this point because *** couple of my friends unfortunately were diagnosed with the same time I was and they’re no longer with us anymore. So today 100 is I didn’t think I’d ever reach 100/5 weeks when he goes, I sit on pins and needles just waiting for the call to say everything is ok. So I think the important thing is to acknowledge if something doesn’t feel right, they should seek care instead of sit back and wait. It’s important to have diagnosis promptly and also see the specialist so they know what to expect and receive appropriate treatment in Prince George’s County Caroline Patris Seven News.
