A three-day Fourth of July celebration in Rouses Point kicked off Friday and will run through the rest of the weekend. At the celebration, you can find food, live music, local craft and even a dunk tank. Most events are taking place at the Rouses Point Civic Center and the fire department across the street. Organizers say their fingers have been crossed all week for good weather, and so far they couldn’t ask for anything better. “It’s the love of this celebration and this party that we have, growing up it was very nostalgic. It was always the thing to do. We’re in a small village. There’s not much going on and there’s something magical and wonderful about it,” said Karen Weierstall, the lead organizer.If you missed out on Saturday’s events, the celebration kicks off again at noon on Sunday and will wrap up with a firework show at dusk.
