
Vermont State Police are investigating an attempted arson at a home on Sweet Road in Waterbury. Police said 51-year-old John Neville of Waterbury was outside the home at about 6 in the morning and placed a Molotov cocktail outside of the home. They said he attempted to ignite it but was unsuccessful.At that time, two people were inside the home.Neville was issued a citation through his attorney to appear at the Criminal Division of Vermont Superior Court in Barre in about two weeks to answer to the charges of attempted first-degree arson, reckless endangerment, and unlawful trespass.
