Phil Scott, and other elected state officials hosted a telephone town hall meeting on Vermont’s flooding disaster.For an hour and a half, they spent time answering questions and providing information on how people impacted by the floods can get the help they need to recover as well as the federal and state’s response to the disaster.”During the last several weeks, Gov. Scott, Sen. (Peter) Welch, Congresswomen (Becca) Balint, and I have been working hard to make sure that the Federal Government responds as effectively and rapidly as they can,” said Sen. Bernie Sanders. “People are hurting and need help as soon as possible.”A focus of the conversation was on how individuals, homeowners, farms, displaced employees, and small businesses can access aid available to them. An example is Patricia from Londonderry, whose driveway was completely destroyed by the floods.Scott recommended that he call 211.”Report that damage because driveways do fall under that individual assistance,” Scott said.
