A mother and daughter’s summer road trip is all about enjoying the little moments throughout the journey.Londen Tabor and her daughter Autumn told WTVF they’ve traveled more than 2,000 miles so far and are enjoying every moment they have together because they know first-hand how short life is.”Autumn was diagnosed with juvenile Huntington’s disease in 2018,” Tabor said. “Her dad was in the late stages of the disease at the time. In fact, her father passed away just six months after she was diagnosed. Autumn’s case of the neurodegenerative disease is terminal. “I see the time slipping away so fast in front of me and I have to be strong for her. If I’m not strong then, that’s not good for anybody.”The mother and daughter raised money for their road trip, which started when they left their home in Wyoming and began exploring the entire U.S. They’ve been sharing glimpses of their experiences on their joint TikTok account. Along the way, they’re finding unique spots, but also meeting people who show them kindness. “One thing I see people comment is, I wish I’d done that with my loved one before they passed away from the disease. And that is the one thing that I need to make sure I never, never, never say… I wish I’d done that with her,” Tabor said. “I need to make sure I do all that with her.
