The moment was caught on camera and the video of the superstar revealing the New York state couple’s baby’s gender has gone viral on social media. Shantelle and Chris, who are from Newburgh, New York, told WABC they had a plan to get Adele involved with the gender reveal when they headed to her Las Vegas concert on Saturday, Aug. 12.The chart-topping artist is currently in residency at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace with her “Weekends with Adele” shows.Since signs aren’t allowed inside the venue, the couple had a special blue, pink and white flag made for the event, which they folded up and brought into the concert. It read: “ADELE WILL YOU DO OUR GENDER REVEAL?!?!”The video shows their clever tactic worked.”She was like, oh my God, I would love to do a gender reveal and she’s like ‘bring them down, bring them down,'” Shantelle told WABC.Chris added, “I said, let’s go, let’s go. And she said, do you have the envelope?”The baby will be the couple’s first and they wanted the baby’s gender to be a surprise for a gender reveal. Written on a sticky note inside the sealed envelope from their doctor’s office was the baby’s gender.”I’ve been waiting for this moment,” Shantelle can be heard saying to Adele as the superstar prepares to open the envelope. Eventually, Adele opens the envelope and reveals that the couple is expecting a baby boy.She can also be heard thanking the couple for including her in the reveal and saying that she was “honored” to be a part of the magical moment.”We’re incredibly happy. It’s a boy,” Shantelle told WABC, with Chris saying his child is “going to be a very blessed baby boy.”The once-in-a-lifetime moment was emotional for the couple, and Lord, who is a nurse, said it was also an emotional moment for the audience. “As we’re walking back up, you see people wiping their tears away and that was like a wholesome moment for us because it was like, this is our baby. If people are crying for us,” Shantelle said. From the video, it seems the moment touched Adele’s heart as well.”That was so lovely,” Adele is heard saying.See the magical moment, and hear from the couple, in the video player above
