State police responded to Middle Road in Oswegatchie on Sunday for a report of an incident involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle. Police say a 23-year-old woman was transported from Middle Road to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center and later transferred to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for life-threatening injuries.Police charged Sean M. Montalvo of Ogdensburg with one count of assault in the first degree.This case remains under investigation by the state police and the St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office.The State Police Forensic Identification Unit is currently executing numerous search warrants regarding this investigation.
