TOWN OF WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – Firefighters from multiple departments battled a blaze in the Town of Watertown Friday.
They were called to 20154 Overlook Drive at around 4 p.m. Town of Watertown Fire Chief Dave Johnston tells 7 News a two story home was mostly engulfed by the time they arrived.
According to the Town of Watertown Fire Department, no one lived at the house and no one was at the home at the time of the fire.
Chief Johnston says no one was injured either while putting out the blaze.
Along with the Town of Watertown, Adams Center, Rutland, Northpole, Black River, and the City of Watertown Fire Departments assisted in fighting the fire.
Jefferson County demolished the building after the fire was extinguished.
Jefferson County Fire Emergency Management says the cause of the fire is under investigation.
