BEAVER FALLS, New York (WWNY) – The Beaver River girls’ swim team had a special season under coach Anne Davis, with the Beavers breaking records and setting new standards along the way.
The Beavers put together an exceptional season, compiling a 10-2 mark. Beaver River tied with Lowville for first in the Frontier League B Division and second overall to Watertown in the Frontier League championships.
But it was the Beavers’ showing in Section III Class C that opened eyes, placing second to Skaneateles.
It was one of the Beavers’ finest seasons.
Beaver River had a big group of swimmers this season, a fact that certainly helped with depth and in pushing swimmers to do their best.
The feeder program is called Turbines. That program along with a strong modified group should bode well for next season.
That should put a smile on coach Davis’ face.
