Two men have been arrested for their involvement in a spate of armed robberies at convenience and retail stores in both St. Albans town and city.The St. Albans Police Department arrested 41-year-old James Ahl of St. Albans for armed robbery and 39-year-old Alan Talley of St. Albans for accessory after the fact.Police arrested the two men after executing a search warrant at a home on Bishop Street early on Friday morning.Ahl was also charged with unlawful trespass and armed robbery linked to another criminal case unrelated to the store robbery cases, police said. Police said their investigation into the armed robberies continues and may result in additional charges being brought.Ahl is scheduled to appear in court today to answer to the charges.
