Two women from Massachusetts are behind bars for allegedly kidnapping and threatening a Franklin County, Vermont, woman.The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said they were called to the Maplefields on Swanton Road on Thursday morning after a St. Albans woman claimed she had been held captive.The woman told police that she had been held captive for four days by the two women while traveling to and from Massachusetts. The victim told police that during that time, she had been assaulted, threatened with a gun, threatened with rape and forced to use and sell drugs.Sheriff’s deputies were able to identify the two women and arrested one of them during a traffic stop, also seizing a large amount of cocaine and fentanyl during the arrest.The second woman was tracked to an area hospital and taken into custody. She also had drugs on her person at the time of her arrest, according to the Sheriff’s Office.Both women were lodged at the Chittenden County Correctional Facility for lack of $25,000 bail.
