DONATION THAT CAME THROUGH. ALL OF THESE TOYS WILL EVENTUALLY END UP AT THE CHRISTMAS VIEWER BUREAU IN PLATTSBURGH. WE’VE GOT SOME VIDEO OF THAT. A YEAR RUN OPERATION. IT’S A HUGE EFFORT EVERY YEAR, AND THEY’VE ALREADY RAISED $50,000 FOR, OF COURSE, THE GOOD CAUSE TO PUT GIFTS UNDER THE TREES AROUND CLINTON COUNTY. LET’S TAKE A LISTEN. I HAVE A LOT OF VOLUNTEERS WHO LOVE TO DO IT RIGHT, SO THEY TRY VERY HARD. THIS IS A GREAT ORGANIZATION AND GREAT BUNCH OF PEOPLE THAT GET ALONG SO GREAT. AND IF YOU’RE WONDERING, THE CHRISTMAS BUREAU IN PLATTSBURGH IS ACTUALLY IN THE SAME PLAZA AS THE NBC FIVE NEWS BUREAU ON CORNELIUS STREET. THEY’RE ACTUALLY COLLECTING TOYS

In the spirit of holiday cheer, the Christmas Bureau in Plattsburgh is working tirelessly to ensure that children in Clinton County wake up to presents under the tree this festive season. Volunteers at the Christmas Bureau have embraced the role of Santa’s helpers, meticulously crafting lists and checking them twice to bring joy to families in need.Established in the 1950s, the Christmas Bureau has become a beacon of hope for the community, having already raised $50,000 this year to support local families. The organization’s commitment to spreading holiday cheer is evident in the dedicated efforts of its volunteers. Linda Schneider, a volunteer at the Christmas Bureau, emphasizes the labor of love involved in their mission. “We have a lot of volunteers who love to do it right. So, they try very hard; this is a great organization and a great bunch of people that get along,” Schneider said.The Christmas Bureau operates in the Plattsburgh Plaza off Cornelia Street.
