Vermont State Police are investigating a death at Magic Mountain Ski Area in Londonderry on Saturday.VSP said they were notified of a deceased man in the back country of the ski area at around 6:15. Responding troopers located the deceased, a 60-year-old man from southern Vermont, whose name has not been released pending notification of his relatives. Troopers on the scene learned that the man had been with a group of people snowshoeing when he experienced a medical event and collapsed.Bystanders and ski patrol tried performing lifesaving efforts but were unsuccessful.According to authorities, the man was pronounced dead on the scene by Londonderry EMS. VSP said his death is not being considered suspicious and no other details are being released at this time.
