An intoxicated man drove to the Colchester Police Department early Saturday morning after threatening officers at the station over the phone.According to the department, 35-year-old Dustin Loesch of Colchester had told officers that he was going to show up at the station once he had finished drinking more alcohol. Loesch reportedly arrived there at around 5:45 a.m. Loesch had entered the police station’s lobby carrying multiple knives, authorities shared. He spoke to an officer through the dispatch window, saying that he wanted to fight with police, and was reportedly pacing back and forth while posturing.An officer tried to de-escalate Loesch while speaking with him, and after a short period of time, he surrendered three of the knives he had brought in with him. Loesch was then arrested without further incident, however, police found a fourth knife in his jacket pocket when he was taken into custody. Police revealed they had previously responded to Loesch’s home for his alleged involvement in a domestic disturbance. Loesch is being charged with aggravated disorderly conduct, criminal threatening, and driving under the influence of alcohol.He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, Feb. 6.
