A snowmobile crash in Groton, New Hampshire trapped a 12-year-old operator underneath the vehicle. At around 10:00 Saturday morning, on the Diamond Turn snowmobile trail, New Hampshire Fish and Game was notified.Rescuers reached the crash just before 11 a.m., pulling the 12-year-old from under the snowmobile, which had tipped and become lodged in a ditch. A 34-year-old passenger was also evacuated and both individuals were transported to Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth for treatment. Both individuals involved in the crash are from Franklin, New Hampshire. Preliminary investigation of the crash shows marginal riding conditions and operator inexperience were the main contributing factors.
